“SLEFES Courtesy Calls to Rekindle Church Partnership for National Transformation”
In a spirit of strategic unity and spiritual purpose, SLEFES bring the curtains down on a remarkable round of Courtesy Visits to key Heads of Churches and Christian institutions across the Western Region. These engagements were warm, cordial and deeply meaningful, as church fathers welcomed SLEFES’ leadership with open arms, generous hearts, and fatherly warmth.

The aim of these visits was to rally the church around the God-given mandate of reaching the campus and raising emerging godly leaders to take the nation for Christ. With the upcoming ENGAGE–2025 Conference at the heart of our vision this year, the timing couldn’t be more prophetic. These conversations laid a fresh groundwork for partnership between the Church and SLEFES not as separate entities, but as co-laborers in the mission of discipling the next generation.
Among the notable figures visited were revered leaders such as *Bishop Julius Laggah of Harvest Intercontinental, Bishop Benjamin Bangura of National Pentecostal Church, Bishop J. Archibald Cole of New Life Ministries International, Our own Apostle Judah Zubairu, Pst. Solomon Sellu of Winners Chapel and Bishop Tom Demby of the Methodist Church-Sierra Leone. The General Secretary of EFSL Rev. Gadiru Bassie and the Country Director of Living Water International Mrs. Rosemarie Yema Blake* were the Para-Church Institutions visited.

These fathers of the faith were deeply receptive, offering not just words of encouragement but actionable support.
Key Deliberations and Commitments, in each conversation, three critical themes emerged:
1. Church-Campus Synergy: It was unanimously agreed that the Church cannot afford to be distant from the campuses. The campuses remain the most fertile ground for leadership development and spiritual formation. Partnership around evangelism, discipleship, rural mission and apologetics were among key highlights.
2. ENGAGE–2025 Support: Leaders pledged moral and spiritual support for SLEFES’ flagship conference. Some committed to encouraging young people within their denominations to register and participate, while others considering supporting through publication in the conference journal.
3. Financial Partnership A resounding call was made for churches to invest financially in student ministry not only as an act of charity, but also of eternal significance. Several leaders expressed willingness to support SLEFES through opening church up for SLEFES students to visit do rendition and raise offerings, personal donations, and mobilizing their congregations for ongoing partnership.

Let the Church arise. Let the campus burn with revival fire. And let the nation rejoice as we ENGAGE – 2025 for the glory of God.
