The Harvest Beckons

“You say, ‘Four more months and then the harvest.’ But I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.” — John 4:35-36

At SLEFES (Sierra Leone Fellowship of Evangelical Students), we are committed to building a community of students who are transformed by the gospel and equipped to impact universities, churches, and the nation for the glory of Christ.

Our mission is clear: to reach students for Christ and through them, transform the nations. To fulfill this calling, we emphasize evangelism, discipleship, mission, and service as the core of all our ministry work.

One key expression of this mission is the Kingdom Service Scheme—an initiative that mobilizes and empowers young Christian graduates to live out SLEFES’s mandate on the frontlines of ministry. These “Kingdom Servants” are sent into the harvest field as agents of transformation, living examples of faith and service.

Currently, we have 23 Kingdom Servants. Of these, 16 have been faithfully serving in various locations over the past years, and we are excited to welcome 7 new servants for the 2025 mission year. Each one is commissioned to carry the gospel to students and communities in need of Christ.

We are deeply grateful for our partners, EduNations/EPC—a faith-based Christian organization committed to planting Christ-centered schools and churches in some of Sierra Leone’s most underserved rural communities. Through their support, our Kingdom Servants are provided with missionary placements, funding, and care as they serve in these vital areas.
