Refurbishment or Demolition and Rebuild of SLEFES House SLEFES is inviting qualified firms to submit proposals for the refurbishment or demolition and reconstruction of the SLEFES House at 27 Aitkin Street, Murray Town, Freetown.

Project Overview
SLEFES House, acquired in June 2001, has served as the residence for the General Secretary and a strategic venue for the ministry leadership. After decades of service, the property requires major refurbishment or reconstruction. The proposal will aim at developing a plan for refurbishing or
reconstruction of the SLEFES House building.
Objectives

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the existing structure.
  • Provide professional recommendations for either refurbishment or new construction.
  • Deliver architectural and structural designs.
  • Prepare a detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
  • Present cost estimates and investment options for both scenarios.

Scope of Work Includes:

  • A detailed structural reporting.
  • Exploration of infrastructural financing opportunities within the SLEFES confines implement the project.
  • Preparation of a BOQ with cost analysis.
  • Refurbishment of the SLEFES House.
  • Design services for both refurbishment and new construction options.
    Deliverables:
  • Detailed structural assessment report.
  • Architectural and structural designs.
  • BOQ for all options.
  • Partner with SLEFES leadership to development financing plan and to implement it in partnership with SLEFES.
  • Final report summarizing all findings, design of building, financial report and recommendations.

Consultancy Fees

  • The consultancy fees should be quoted by the consultant bidder.
    How to Apply:
    Interested firms should submit a detailed proposal, including:
  • Technical and financial analysis.
  • Firm profile.
  • Relevant experience and references.
  • Initial assessment report of the building.
  • BOQ for refurbishment or reconstruction of the building.
  • Concept for infrastructural financing options.
